Aaron Marsden graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art, in Australia. Immediately after graduating he was one of the set designers for the feature film Moulin Rouge! In the year 2000 Aaron moved to London where he currently lives and works.
Opera design credits include: Eugene Onegin (Richmond Theatre), La Boheme (Blackheath Halls), La Traviata (Epsom Playhouse), Orpheus and Eurydice (Blackheath Halls), The Lighthouse and Trouble in Tahiti (Psappha Tour). His designs for Benvenuto Cellini are being revived for the Paris Opera in March 2018.
Along with his own design work, Aaron has assisted Rae Smith, Katrina Lindsay, Paul Brown, Soutra Gilmour, Mark Thompson and Anthony Ward. He was the design assistant on Mosquitoes (National Theatre) and is currently the associate designer on the National Theatre's Macbeth directed by Rufus Norris opening in March 2018.
